OUR HISTORY

Janitorial Insurance Group is a janitorial insurance agency for commercial and residential janitorial operations all across the United States. Janitorial Insurance Group was built on the successes of O’Donovan Insurance, a leading insurance agency in the Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. area. O’Donovan Insurance was founded in 1982 and provides clients with insurance and financial services such as homeowner’s insurance, commercial liability protection, financial planning, and investments. Priding itself on quality customer service, O’Donovan Insurance ensures that each policyholder – whether an individual, small family, or large corporation – is insured.

OUR TEAM

Jeremiah P. O’Donovan, President

Jeremiah is a graduate of Xavier University, a Certified Commercial Lines Coverage Specialist, and a Certified Program Leader. Jeremiah began his career in the family business in 2005. He has handled projects such as complete branding several insurance programs, managing the transition to a paperless environment, and the implementation and administration of a full policy admin system. Throughout his career his focus has been identifying and recruiting top underwriting talent, developing better agency and broker management and improving internal process efficiency. With a keen eye always turned to the numbers, he is constantly creating new ways to measure and challenge himself and his staff to write efficient, profitable business. In his personal time, Jeremiah enjoys spending time with his wife and children, watching baseball and Redskins football, and playing golf.

Kelly Arnold, Client Relationship Manager

Kelly has more than 15 years of experience in the insurance industry, with expertise in both Commercial and Personal Lines. Kelly also holds the prestigious Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designation. She resides in Frederick, MD. She enjoys spending time at the beach and watching Baltimore Ravens football.

Brieanna Leakan, Senior Underwriter

Brieanna is Jeremiah’s longest tenured employee having worked with him for over 10 years. Her career began in the rating department, where she didn’t last long.  Her hard work and ability to get things done, no matter what the task, are what have ultimately led to her being promoted again and again.  Outside of Underwriting, Brieanna has been involved in projects that include complete SOP documentation for all departments, new hire training, and systems implementation & integration.  Her diverse set of skills is exactly what any organization would want.  In her spare time, Brieanna enjoys spending time with her son & family, playing pool and reading.

Keyla Ferreiras, Underwriting Assistant Manager

Keyla began her career with Nationwide on the retail side of the business. In 2014 she joined Jeremiah and immediately he recognized that he had a star on his hands. In two years, she went from being a Junior Assistant Underwriter to managing of an office of 10 employees. Her positive attitude and amazing work ethic are what make her a great leader. Keyla is the engine that keeps the organization running. When she isn’t at the office her interests include volleyball, Duke basketball, and outdoor activities such as camping and hiking.

Beth Redcay, Chief Financial Officer

Beth has over a decade of accounting experience, with expertise including audit and assurance work with financial reporting and management. Beth is a graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park where she received her B.S. degree in Accounting. Beth resides in Glenelg, Maryland with her 2 sons. She enjoys scrapbooking and outdoor activities such as skiing.

Jackie Kastner, Accountant

Jackie has more than a decade of accounting experience, in both public accounting and private industry. She has spent most of her career focused on corporate taxation and financial reporting. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from the University of Delaware. Jackie currently resides in North Carolina with her husband and two sons. She enjoys spending time at the beach and being involved in her children’s school and sports.
